Unlock Rainmaking
Potential with Ignite

Transforming Women Attorneys into Rainmakers

Prepare your women leaders with the training, coaching, and community they need to become top business generators and feel supported and
more satisfied in their legal careers.

I transformed my mindset and found the learning, techniques and support I need to succeed as a business generator at my firm. I highly recommend Ignite to other up and coming women attorneys because although we have different strengths and weaknesses, we all face the similar challenge of figuring out how best to build our own books of business in a historically male-dominated industry.

– Abby Remore, Esq., Partner at Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi

I’ve dramatically strengthened my networking skills and now approach business development intentionally and consistently. My favorite aspect of Ignite was the power of the community and the intimacy of a small group. We learned a tremendous amount from the program and from one another – sharing experiences with the other women provided a lot of value for me.

– Stephanie Bagot, Senior Counsel at RPCK

As women partners, our firms expect us to be capable lawyers and business developers. Ignite provided me with a system for business development, showed me how to integrate business development activities into my day-to-day routine, and helped me sharpen my business development skills and develop new ones. But it’s not just about tools and tactics; the program goes deeper into the human side of relationship and business development. Knowing how the game is played, I now feel more comfortable and confident as a business generator.

– Aliaksandra Ramemenka, Esq., Partner at Outten & Golden

Ignite helped me be deliberate and focused, rather than engaging in a variety of business development activities and hoping something sticks. I’ve learned a simple structure for BD and how to use my limited time efficiently and effectively. It was comforting to be in a room of women who were willing to share their challenges and vulnerabilities and to realize that we are not alone! I’ve already recommended Ignite to several of my colleagues and friends.

– Lauren M. Manduke, Member, Cole Schotz, P.C.

Participating in the Ignite Women’s Business Development Accelerator has been a transformative experience for me. The program has not only equipped me with practical tools and strategies to grow my business, but also significantly shifted my mindset. Thanks to Ignite, I now approach business development with greater confidence, clarity, and purpose. I highly recommend this program to any attorney looking to take her business to the next level.

Geri Albin, Esq., Counsel, Saiber LLC

The Ignite/Lawyer’s Edge program was exceptional. The content was helpful and presented in a manner that could be tailored to my strengths and weaknesses. Elise creates a safe space to really work through some of the real and imagined obstacles to becoming a rainmaker at the firm.

Hieu Williams, Esq., Partner, Hirschfeld Kraemer

Elise is very dynamic and provides clarity and vision on techniques that work for enhancing client relations and practice development!

GH, Attorney at Cohen & Buckmann PC

The community that Ignite provides is invaluable! Navigating BD with a group of other like-minded women really helps me get more comfortable and integrate it into my daily routine.

Jackie Ryu, Esq., Senior Associate, Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP

The Ignite program has been immensely beneficial for my business development. It has helped me refine and target my approach, making my efforts more effective. I highly recommend this program.

Jodi Warren, Esq., Partner, Capell Barnett Matalon & Schoenfeld LLP

This program is perfect for women who desire to take their career to the next level. While the program is focused on business development, it also provides meaningful action steps to take to ascend to a position of power within your firm. The most valuable aspect of this program is the community of like-minded attorneys that will help you succeed along the way.

Montoya Ho-Sang, Esq., Partner, Akerman LLP

Elise’s superpower lies in her extraordinary ability to make everyone in the group feel so at ease that they’re open to sharing their most pressing concerns and challenges. This openness sparks incredibly productive conversations. Elise often describes this comfort as getting ‘naked fast,’ allowing us to dive deep and accomplish great things together. Her approach truly transforms the way we address and overcome obstacles.

Megan Carannante, Esq., Partner, Pullman & Comley, LLC

“In law school, I learned how to
network, become a recognized
industry leader, and pitch legal
services by the best in the legal
business.” Said no lawyer ever.

Law school prepared us to become lawyers, but it failed to teach us the art of networking, sales, and other vital business development skills. Filling that gap is essential both for law firms and individual lawyers. In an increasingly competitive market, a law firm’s success and profitability hinge on the ability of its people to deliver exceptional legal services and pitch and win. And for lawyers, rainmaking ability is a powerful predictor of leadership growth, increased compensation, and the ability to call the shots in one’s own career.

Business Development
for Women is Different

It’s no secret that the journey to rainmaking success is often a tougher climb for women. In addition to an absence of business development training, women face gender-based hurdles to success, from unconscious bias to societal programming and social pressures that can still create expectations for how women are “supposed to” behave. Enter Ignite!

IGNITE’S UNIQUE BLEND:

Training + Coaching + Community

Training alone, no matter how skilled, is not likely to result in rainmaking success. Why? Because knowledge without execution is not enough.

Just as elite athletes rely on expert coaches, Ignite goes the extra mile, offering both group and 1:1 coaching for all participants. Coaching is a critical ingredient that allows each attorney to customize her approach to client development and drive implementation of what she has learned.

But Ignite doesn’t end there. Ignite fosters a tight-knit community of like-minded women, creating a supportive environment where participants learn, grow, and exchange ideas and stories, paving their pathway to business development success.

Ignite is where training, coaching, and community converge to illuminate each woman’s journey to success as a rainmaker!

  • And much more…

How is the Ignite Program structured?

Over the course of 9 months, participants will attend two in-person conferences, participate in monthly virtual group training workshops, engage in two 1:1 coaching sessions, and work both as a team and independently to understand concepts and practice skills. The community provides a growth-oriented, confidential space in which to connect with and support one another.

How does Ignite support networking and collaboration among participants?

The program continuously provides opportunities to connect with colleagues in a confidential, safe environment. Breakout sessions, small group exercises, and one-to-one pairings offer myriad ways for attorneys to share ideas and challenges and grow their professional networks with like-minded women who are both ambitious and supportive. Of course, participants are strongly encouraged to continue to maintain and nurture those relationships even outside the program, and most of our attorneys do just that.

Is 1:1 coaching part of the Ignite Program?
